330 West 42nd St, McGraw Hill Building
First open to the public in the 1930s, the McGraw-Hill building stands 35 stories tall and has held offices for magazines, healthcare unions, and more during its 90-year tenure. The building earned landmark status from New York’s Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1979 and was included on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
330 West 42nd St. is a core and shell project. The Nu-Way team installed brand new condenser water risers, hot water risers and duct risers for fresh air and toilet exhaust. Further, the Nu-Way team built onsite major equipment including five 1000 ton cooling towers on the roof and two 5000 GPM exchangers.
A fuel oil system was also installed with a 5000 gallon fuel oil tank for the generator located in the basement. A 100 ton ERU was built and assembled in the basement for future fit outs on the basement, 1st and 2nd floor. Daikin water cooled VRF was installed for back of house spaces and three 5760 MBH condensing boilers were installed on the
mechanical penthouse for the hot water risers.
